The climate story of Sofie and her grandmother Kari is a journey through the history of Lillestrøm and its rivers, which through time have presented challenges for those who live there. How can these challenges be met in the future?
Damages caused by stormwater and flooding can be costly for residents, the municipality and society. Lillestrøm’s climate story is intended to show what we can do to better to meet climate challenges to bring us into a positive future. The story shows what the municipality is doing, as well as how real estate developers and private individuals can make a practical contribution to meet the climate change challenges.
The story is developed in co-creation with the Lillestrøm municipality, NGI (Norwegian Geotechnical Institute) and CAS (Climate Adaptation Services).
