Sarah is the Project Manager. She will also contribute to the delivery of services (matchmaking between the needs of the city hubs and the supply of services), support the application of adaptation pathways in Cork and will also support the communication and dissemination strategy of the project.
Sarah is excited to engage with the many different members of the consortium, learning about climate services from user and developer perspectives to provide usable data-driven support for climate adaptation.
Sarah Wright is a junior researcher at Deltares, specializing in climate adaptation and water management. While studying and working at Wageningen University, research topics included methods for multi-objective optimization (specifically the water/energy/agriculture nexus) when managing big dams, using natural language processing methods to analyze national-level climate policy, and reviewing literature on climate services and success. Since working at Deltares, Sarah’s focus has centered around adaptation planning, especially using integrated approaches such as Climate Resilient Development and methods like Adaptation Pathways. She loves thinking about how to best present data in ways that are both useful and beautiful, translating science for non-technical decision makers and stakeholders.
