To a part of REACHOUT, I am the Social Media lead. I will contribute to the communication and dissemination strategy of the project.
I hope we understand cities better and how to respond to the different planning and governance challenges each stage of their resilience journey brings. When it comes to building a better future, cities face similar challenges. Their maturity and dependency pathways differ, so climate services and tools are not equally used. By understanding this better, we can provide the necessary resources to accelerate and scale up adaptation. My goal is to help them create urban policy narratives and climate stories to help mobilise internal and external stakeholders.
Isabel Parra is the Communications Manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Resilient Cities Network. She has collaborated with governments, international organizations, multinationals and startups across Latin America and Europe, gaining experience in advocacy, outreach, branding, strategy, and community development. Before joining R-Cities, she helped UN-Habitat’s City Resilience Global Programme scale up action— raising awareness of the urgency of building sustainable and resilient cities and regions, localising the global agendas, and pushing for collective actions that drive community engagement.
