Contact person at CAS for WP2: delivery of climate services
I hope we can turn European climate data and science into actionable information that decision-makers can work with.
Felix van Veldhoven (MA)(M) is an international climate adaptation expert, who specializes in bridging the gap between climate science and adaptation action. With a background in urban geography & planning, he uses his skills in data visualization and geo-information to offer insight into climate change impacts, risks and vulnerabilities, as well developing fit-for-purpose methods and user-centred tools that turn climate risk into resilience. He has worked in over eight megacities, in Africa and Asia, carrying out climate risk assessments and developing adaptation actions and plans. He also supported several businesses, such as APG, Heineken, Vesteda and Syntrus Achmea, where he gained sector expertise in the financial and real estate sector working on tailored climate risk information for investors. Felix’ aim is to create a resilient future by turning climate data and science into actionable information that decision-makers can work with.
