To help the project stakeholders benefit from the opportunities that visual mapping and storytelling tools can offer when communicating climate data and climate resilience concepts

Bio

Dr. Sean Salazar (M) is a researcher and engineer at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI). He specializes in satellite, airborne and terrestrial remote sensing and mapping techniques applied to geohazards and civil infrastructure. Sean earned his PhD and MSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Arkansas as a U.S. National Science Foundation (U.S. NSF) graduate research fellow. Sean has also completed research fellowships at NGI, the University of California Davis, and Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Sean has a keen interest in communication of science and technology, as well as entrepreneurship. In 2019, Sean participated in the national U.S. NSF Innovation Corps (I-CorpsTM) Program, focussing on innovation and commercialization of research. Sean has also studied Innovation Management at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology School of Entrepreneurship.
