To help develop strategies that enhance society’s resilience to climate change
Thijs Endendijk (M) is PhD candidate at the Institute for Environmental Studies at VU Amsterdam. He is working on his thesis on the effects of climate change on financial sector investors. Using econometric and synthetic modelling approaches, Thijs contributes to REACHOUT by estimating flood vulnerability for several building types and flood and windstorm risk for pension investor APG. He holds a BSc Public Administration: Economics, Public Administration and Management at Leiden University and a MSc Economic Policy at Utrecht University. He is specialized in the application of economic and public administration theory to societal issues.
