REACHOUT presents urban challenges at Climate Europe2 Festival

Every city has a different experience when implementing Climate Services. Local experiences vary as much as the urban contexts. Cities face particular pressures and challenges due to climate change that require tailored approaches.

REACHOUT’s 7 city hubs have tested different tools to face their unique urban challenges and accelerate urban adaptation to climate change. At the Climateurope2 Festival taking place from March 11-13 in Venice, we had the opportunity to share some of those lessons.

Jaroslav Mysiak (CMCC) explained how climate services are addressing urban transformation challenges in cities. Elena Garrido Martínez shared Logroño’s experience and how the city is crafting its climate narrative. Simone Nardicchia talked about Milan’s strategy for climate adaptation and sustainability and how the city is building resilience. Nieves Pena (Tecnalia) delved into the work of REACHOUT and our approach to helping cities address urban challenges. With the Triple-A Toolkit, we are facilitating the adoption of climate services and building bridges between cities, tool developers, municipal departments, and communities.
