Elena Garrido from Logroño Municipality and Nieves Peña from Tecnalia participated in the “Introduction to Stakeholder and Citizen Engagement” event, as one of the activities taking place in the EU Mission Adaptation Community of Practice with the attendance of more than 100 participants. Nieves presented the REACHOUT project framework focused on city-hubs needs to design tailored climate services to better support European cities in building resilience to climate change and Elena summarized the citizens engagement activities taken place in Logroño, as well as the future challenges.
Apart from Logroño and the REACHOUT Project, Manuel Bea from ICATALIST presented the Do-it-yourself (DIY) Manual for Stakeholder and Citizen Engagement in Climate Adaptation designed considering the different steps of the adaptation cycle. Additionally, Alicia Villazán from Municipality of Valladolid shared their experience and examples on citizens engagement and the AGORA project was also presented by Arianna Acierno and Marina Mattera – homepage – AGORA (adaptationagora.eu).
